Hacking Last Round Of Updates

According to WiiBrew, on December 14, Nintendo "issued minor updates for the Check Mii Out Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, Nintendo Channel, and Internet Channel."

What is the safe method to install these updates?

I tried searching the forums, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.

officially, via the wii shop channel.
update the wii shop channel via dop-ios MOD to v18 if you havent done so already.
IOS61 is required for the shop to work

So, as long as my Shop Channel is working, it is safe to download the new versions of the updated channels, using the Shop Channel? It's not going to "break" any homebrew?

Yes.

The thing is, the updates are very minor. I think the only change was in the version number; the contents are identical to the previous version.

the updates were mainly on the sever end of the channels from what I could gather. Pretty much every bit of the updates were minimal at most.
