you should have gotten an already translated version with the pokemons names edited and worked on changing the text files for that....

If I would do that, it wouldn't be official and then I would be competing with Nintendo and I will not do that (even though I'm doing it now

Will the release tomorrow have everything translated? Why will there need to be more than 1 version?

Also, when going on Nintendo WFC, will the region be set to J meaning you will only be able to face people in the J region randomly?

I don't know did they finish with that but good luck with translation.

You know what's the problem? The JP language doesn't contain 'a/an' and that is located INSIDE the tekst file so if you simply replace the language file from the USA to JPN ROM it would be messed up VERY WELL!

I don't know did they finish with that but good luck with translation.

You know what's the problem? The JP language doesn't contain 'a/an' and that is located INSIDE the tekst file so if you simply replace the language file from the USA to JPN ROM it would be messed up VERY WELL!

No there aren't a lot of diffrences betwen those 2 games.
Only the game corner.
This is only thing i know about that is diffrente.

I am not talking about the difference IN GAME, im altking about the difference of programming... they'r just different in a lot of aspects...

I've read that the code for both the regular slots and voltorb flip are present in the japanese version (they simply went with the slots), so I should think the slots also exist in the English version... they just weren't used. That doesn't mean they were translated, though.

xD that is an idea, but it won't work because of this:
The store, menu's etc are located in: root/a/0/2/7 (NARC file, translateable)
The Game Corner text is located in: root/a/1/4 (than isn't a NARC file so I cant translate it...)

yes that's true, but the reason why it isn't used or not translated is that thát isn't the ACTUAL text. it's an test text for debug-testing...

One thing I don't get from the FAQ is this:

Q: Are the Pokémon name's of the Pokémon gained in the game Japanese?
A: Unfortunatly yes, but only if you can't change the name in the Name-Rater's house
