Homebrew Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days ROM Help

I'm new to the forums so i'm sorry if this doesn't belong here. Anyway, I was playing through the KH Days ROM and everything was going fine until I reached day 120 where you have to go to Olympus Coliseum. I had to battle a bunch of mandatory enemies and after watch a cut scene. After that, the game went black and it froze. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Oh, sorry. It's an R4.

Use YSMenu on your R4 and use the .ips patch.

Well, I use a Mac, so that's a problem. I do have access to a Windows PC though. One question, what exactly does YSMenu do?
