I've recently been having a strange issue, and with the recent Katsukity shutdown, I figure this is the best place to get some help.
I have a New3DS XL w/ Katsu capture board installed. It's been working fairly well for almost a year now, with the exception that I did have to get the board replaced back in October due to what I think was a pretty bad pin misalignment (I'm no hardware expert). The problem really started when I was clearing a bit of disk space and accidentally removed the capture software. After grabbing the software new from the internet, I put in the product key they sent me with the original system, but it refused to work. I tried everything I could think to do, but there was just no way to use my old product key. I was wondering if there are any brilliant minds out here that can work this out better than me. Here's some stuff I tried if it helps:
I've deleted and reinstalled the associated drivers
I've tried a different cord (someone was going to say it)
Not sure if it matters, but I do only have the original key, so if I was supposed to receive one per capture board, that's out
I've also tried to contact them multiple times just in case anyone is still checking, but I'm not really holding out hope given that they're no longer in business
