Recently there have been many questions about how to use the multi-link gaming feature of the K1 SoC devices. K1GBA has been kind enough to film a video showing the K1 GBA SP linking with the unreleased K101 Revo. Some users have continued to discuss problems while linking their K1 GBA SP to official Nintendo products. Here's hoping that these issues are isolated and unrelated to the SoC hardware!

The cable linking shit with the gameboy series required a near-perfect sync, which is one of the main reasons LAN wasn't ported for Gameboy linkage over emulators... so I imagine it might have slight issues with official Nintendo products the system acts nearly the same.

Well I received my "released model", and aside from a few games having sound issues (mmbn 4, bomberman tournament) it is really neat. (ok, my ez iv gba flashcard doesn't work since it seemingly doesn't read its mini sd, but my other stuff works fine, except wario ware twisted).

Neat products, really.

(Does anyone know how I can convince the k-card to read the gamesave of any game ? It has trouble reading most of my games saves, except for the games that have 32 MegaByte or more).

Now they should release some wireless adapter for any game that are better than majesco's (which were quite a good attempt in my book).

Instead of calling them "released" and "unreleased" lets just call them by their proper names. K1 GBA SP and the K101 Revo (or Revo K101).

@[member='pasc'], I'd be happy to help you sort your issues. but please post them in the proper discussion thread. found HERE

Remember this is proven on the cable provided by K team. Make sure to buy this with your unit or make sure you have official Nintendo cables. None of my third party link cables can even pull off multi-pak multiplayer like in the vid.

Also single-pak multiplayer games and gamecube software like the Tingle Tuner are a different beast altogether. That would be a nice video tutorial to see.,

I am sorry that I do not own the official GBA SP thus I can not test if Revo K101 can be linked with it. But I will donate one Revo K101 for Another World reviewed after this device is released. I think he can test it with the original GBA SP. Currently, we are making the package for this cool device and print the logo to it. We will bring you more news for this device in these coming days.

You guys can post your any questions here. I will try our best to help you.

I can get loan j-live my GBA indigo (original) + data cable (after I will test it with another official gameboy advance machine to ensure it's working) if required, I will approach to him on IRC soon.

Does this device also have the sound problems with MMBN 4 - Red Sun and Bomberman Tournament ?

Also, does this automatically backup saves (rather than having to press a button to backup everytime ?)

Does this actually read saves from all games?

I use AKG K7XX headphones for daily use, but Meze 99 Classics when I want to *enjoy* the music

I mean built in sound on mobo's has gotten way better but still XP handled sound better and X-Fi was still better than onboard audio even to this day
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

Oh boy Massdrop has $1100 IEMs. Want, but not at that price lmao. https://drop.com/buy/campfire-audio-andromeda-emerald-sea-iem
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

you mean generally, how does the concept work?
    +1
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Two good videos from ElectroBOOM that touch on the subject:
