Hey gbatemp members.
I just downgraded my New 3DS to 9.2 and backed up my sysNAND.
What i want to check is which cfw to install (I saw too many kinds of cfw so i got confused) and how?
At the end I just want to play cia games.
Thanks for the help.

Here follow this guide. It's pretty simple and noob proof :ha::

Plus there's actually a lot more you have to do than just getting cfw and a guide makes it easy for you to do it. As someone that's already done this, follow the guide, don't go out and install the cfw yourself you'll actually waste more time doing that then you will if you followed a guide.

This. I used this guide to install Reinand and it worked great.

Go with ReiNAND or AuReiNAND. AuReiNAND adds a few extra tweaks, but if all you want to do is install unsigned cias, go with reiNAND.

yeah im not sure of the differences to a9lh over ReiNAND
(Au)reinand is a cfw. A9lh is an exploit that allows you to gain more access into the system and manipulate it more. Eg. Boot cfw straight on boot (turn on system -> cfw) which is much faster than menuhax to cfw.

In My Opinion....best of all if on O3DS use RxTools....if on N3DS use Aureinand or Reinand.....Best overall....in my opinion....RxTools

I would also reccomend reinand. It's simple and supports sig patching and use of .cia installing. Also it now supports loading through arm9loaderhax as well as loading through menuhax.

if you come to want to do some serious work you'll need RxTools....i.e. if you wanna create your own cia files....then RxTools is the one you need. So best just install it now and save you all the pain.....tomorrow....next week....whenever.....just my opinion

Decrypt9, Emunand9, and Uncart do everything Rx does, but better, aside from the "convenience" of all in one integration. We're splitting hairs though, in the end, it's all the same no matter which CFW you go with.

true Decrypt9, Emunand9, and Uncart all can do the same as rxtools...but why learn 4 tools when you can learn 1 WELL....RxTools original and the best.....just my opinion

Go with rxtools, its easy to use, can sig check and all that good stuff, its like 3 tools in one. Perfect CFW for all your needs.

Remember rxtools 3.0 when it's finally out of beta no longer includes all those tools.....

Get use to using Everything else now, even the RX team said D9 and other tools work better

rxtools has been taken over by a whole new group. IDK if the plans of the pasta team are the same as that of the original developer(s)
