Hacking Just bought a PS3 ~ 3.30 firmware ~ update or not?

I had a Playstation (the old grey brick), and the black "nib" on the top of the CD drive (holding the CDs down), BROKE OFF!


Cheap crap... I had to buy another PS and swap the parts over to fix it. (My one was modded, so I thought it worth sacrificing another to fix it). I have since sold it, however.

that happened to me but i fixed it by bridging the two points on the underside of the mobo with solder ;p
if you can't solder then i guess a but of blutack to hold the snapped off sensor down would do the trick
