im not sure buti think it s when youre doing the cheat in the begining of the game (when you draw connection between stars !) it unlock 1 character depending of what you draw, can someone could confirm that ?

the other two seems okay.

I think it means

has already been cut off

Obviously, you wouldn't phrase it like that.
But "has been cut off" and "has/is cut off" means pretty much the same thing.

Here's an idea:

Instead of using mutiple strings to form new phrases, leave some of the lines empty and only fill in ones that appear in distinct strings.

Example:

1: Koma evolution of
2: ?%?
3: has been opened!
4: has already been opened!

First phrase is formed like this:
1 + 2 + 3 = Koma evolution of + ?%?+ has been opened!

Second:
1 + 2 + 4 = Koma evolution of + ?%?+ has already been opened!

Since space is not an issue for us (this would only shave off kilobytes anyway), strings could be modified like this:

1:
2:
3: Koma evolution of ?%?has been opened!
4: Koma evolution of ?%?has already been opened!

This will give more freedom to form sentences while translating.

Oh well, so much for my idea.

As for graphics, I remember FAST6191 stating earlier in this thread that he already has them figured out. Having them extracted at this point would allow us, the japanese-incapable bunch, to be useful by editing them. You don't have to import translated images into a beta patch, but when the time comes, graphics will already be done and the whole process will receive a slight boost.

Thought I better reply, menus were one of the first things done by kingofnoobs and I have a bunch of others as well. I do not know if my original images are still hosted but aside from basic sprites the menus were graphical and one of the first things I tackled (should be on page 1 -3 for the options menu). For those with 'shop skills I would prefer a simple tweak done myself at first followed by offerings from the artistically inclined.

On the subject of wildcards and constructed phrases they should not be much of a problem, I will be leaving them as the game has them as it is a fairly pointless exercise to change it.

Oh and complete saves can be grabbed from http://www.dualscene.net/viewpage.php?page_id=30 for those that need them (I was using them to test stuff a while back) and http://shunyweb.info/ does a good job of conversion should you need it.

Ive been posting on the Gamefaqs messageboards and they are excited about this. Some of them still think that it wont be completed, and some dont even believe me, but Id say about 85% are very excited about it....

you just have to tell me what is the format usedand here we go !
of course you can continue working with your tweaked one until it is finish, think about it

between waiting for translation of chr_s_t.bin chr_... (because i can't read japanese) and modify some graphics for the comunity, i ve made my choice . I just want to be usefull in this project

btw, like i said previously i think there somme text dump missing, it s non-vital text, but i don't see them in your dump, have you seen this somewhere ? (maybe you mentionned it in a previous post.... i that case you can blame me

The only text missing should be that in the graphics but I will look into it.

Menus are LZ compressed in something with menu in the name (sorry my stuff for the project is not on hand). See the JUS sprite ripping thread (keshire was the author) for a bit more info and links.
You do not really need to mess with the palette either as you should only have to modify the graphics.

Unless someone else is adding the text themselves than that is not true.

The project however is approaching the end game (some final tweaks on translation and insertion of what has been done).

ive been away from the thread for quite a while, with life and all. but when i was going to do some translation work, i notice that the percentages on chr_b_t.bin and chr_s_t.bin has not changed. has the community decided to forgo the translation of them?
