I started to try with Pearl and got just under 400. I was going to trade them to SoulSilver to finally have a complete Pokédex but gave up after 20 minutes of trading. So probably not with this though.

With a current progress of 465/493 on soul silver, by the time I get the UK release I imagine I'll have all first evolutions to trade over. As long as there's nothing as annoying as Spirtomb to get ¬_¬

I think i have read that this little croc has 2 evolutions, so this could be either the 2nd or 3rd evolution.

Yes. It's on level 27, so it would be the 2nd.

Legitimately completed the dex on Platinum and Heart Gold. I say why not? Though I'll only do it like I did with HG/SS: Pirate Japanese version of SS, catch the exclusives and whatnot, buy HG, complete the game. Though I don't know which of the two should I pirate and buy.
