Hey there. Because of reasons i had to change the Shell of my Joy Cons. While doing this i expertly managed to rip the wires out of the Battery plug of the right Joy con. To elaborate, the plastic of the plug broke. the metal contacts are still on the wires. So i have now replaced the battery and so on but the "Broken" one is still good and it does not sit right with me to just throw it away. My question is if this Plug is a proprietary one used only here or if this is some Standard plug. If it is a standard plug, can someone tell me what kind of plug it is? i want to buy a new one and put the wires in so it works again.

Also i wanted to ask if there are any known risks for doing a permanent jig mod on the Joycon yet? A few years ago no one knew if there arent any risks involved. but about now someone will have it for some years. so are there any risks? Asking because i wanna either do a hardwired Jig mod or one with a Magnetic Reed contact. Sorry if that part does not fit the Thread description, but i didnt want to open two seperate Threads.

I cannot post links, but the part is a molex 78171-0002.

Item number 1005003681869998 on aliexpress.

78171-0002 seems to be the part that you solder on joycon mb.

78172-0002 looks like the part witch hold the cable crimps (not tested)

I'm sure there was an update that wouldn't install or something when the connection in a modded joy-con was in place. It wasn't a big deal and people could get around it, but I'm sure it was a thing once.
Reed switch would work, or you could use autorcm instead, or if you're confident enough opening and soldering stuff then consider a trinket m0 modchip, to make things easier in the long run.
