In America, jelly is the stuff that you spread on sandwiches. Preserves are also spread on sandwiches but they're not like bouncy and jiggly. Jello is the stuff you eat with a spoon and without anything.And I'll explain it to uhhmerikuns
In the UK, Jam is the stuff that you spread on sandwiches. Preserves... I think those are the same thing but no-one born after 1950 uses that word. Jelly is the spoon-based wiggly fun dessert stuff, and on that note red and purple own you all. I voted red, but I'm thinking of purple.
