Hardware Japanese 2DS - Firmware

Hello everyone, I’m a Nintendo fan and never did hack any of my cartridge consoles from nintendo, leaving emulation for my psp. Now I’m waiting to receive my first japanese 3ds family system, a yellow transparent pikachu 2ds. Besides the boxart and eth else, I would love making it my nintendo console i finnally hack to get to download games from all regions, virtual console titles and maybe emulators as well. I’m also not very happy loosing the japanese pokemon yellow pre-installed but i guess i can download it later again. So the question is, what do I need besides a minimun 64gb micro sd card for the games? I will need to borrow a PC to make it and so i wanted the method thats the easier to update(if possible without a computer) and keep working fine... Mainly I want to play the few games i couldnt get for the 3ds that mattered to me as well as some japanese titles that were unreleased..

Also, will i be able to play any of my ds/3ds entirely PAL cartridge collection with it? Is it very risky to do it or easy going with a tutorial?

well since it will most likely be on 11.4 or higher your choices are
1.NTRBoot requires buying a flashcart though can be used to recover from bricks: https://3ds.hacks.guide/ntrboot

Well, hardmodding must require some wealding and im no good at that. Also I really wanted one of those guys that sell this service but nobody to be found in Portugal doing that so... I guess then, and forgive my ignorance, Ill be fine if i buy a R4 gold and 64gb card? I will be able to free it and have up to date freeshop with just these components! thanks a lot

just make sure you get a card that is compatible with 3ds

Ok, im having trouble understanding all the process as i just read the r4 will only get me to play ds games?! I feel in the island of ignorance xD should i buy the r4 gold that says 2018 in amazon? Do you have a good website? I cant understand the compability thing.. i read about the boot9 trap and it sounds good but i need it to have the up to date freeshop? Im like ofc not gonna understand all the process so i really needed to get all the parts first so as i follow a tutorial later on how to do it. The big storage sd card goes in the r4 or in the console? I read i can format a sdxc card in fat32 and it will be fine to use as a sdhc, is it real? Cause each time i read more i get the impression i know less, now i have the idea i need two sd cards + i have to get the software myself to put in the r4 right?(possibly making mistakes...) ... people make it look easy but im missing parts of it still xD thanks

buy from nds-card.com gbatemp sponsor i have purchased from there i suggest either an r4i gold 3ds rts or r4i gold 3ds plus the plus comes with a switch inside the cart than can switch it to ntrboot mode while the rts you have to flash it back to a usable state
