Hacking Issues with R4i platinium

i just got my r4i platinium the blue one in tne blue box...

i download the original firmware on the official web site (noticed on the box) but nothing work!!!!

Please help me...

i will like to know if the retrogamefan release work on this flashcard!!!

nobody helps me???????????!!!!!

I've just had a look at the last kernel available for the R4i Platinum from www.r4iplat.com and it looks like it is actually using the R4 Wood 1.20 kernel for the www.r4ids.cn card so if you go to http://www.r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.html#kernel_download then that kernel may work for you.

EDIT: You may have to rename the WOODR4.NDS to _DS_MSHL.NDS first though.

but just one thing....the file that make the firmware boot well should not end with ".DAT" ???

'cause think that the ".NDS" file could only bee launch from the flashcard menu....

It's ok there is all ready a ".DAT' file in the package, now i'm going to test all this

If R4 Wood works then you don't need the RGF updates as R4 wood is a great kernel. However if you look at the "Known carts that can use DSTT Firmware.txt" then you will see that www.r4iplat.com and www.r4ids.cn are not on there and so probably do not work with RGF.

excuse me, now is an uptade of my situation i hope that it is not agaist the rules...

i perform the test with the R4 Wood kernel but it don't work.

it display a white screen after the "loading" screen... i'm still finding..thanks for any help...

Try this then. Download the old 1.34 kernel from http://www.r4iplat.com/downloads/English_1.34.rar and install it.

Then download the 1.4.1 update for your card from http://www.r4iplat.com/downloads/update.rar and follow these instructions.

How to update:
1. download the update file of R4iplat flash card
2. In your current firmware, run R4iplat_update.nds.
3. Click Y to start R4iplat flash card and wait for update finish.
4. Power off your DS and restart.
5. Delete the 1.34 kernel and all the files
6. Download the 1.37 kernel from r4iplat
7. If that doesn't work then download the latest woodR4 for the r4ids.cn card from www.r4ids.cn
