It has been confirmed by users and the team that a bug in the v1.0 software will brick the iSmart Premium. It has been yet unconfirmed if this bricking can be fixed by reflashing the Flash Kit firmware. Until there is a software update users are advised to not attempt to execute the Pokemon Black/White ROMs on their iSmart Premium.

you don't seem to have the facts that i have the proof to back up. sadly the problems on the ismart are software based, as in you get what you pay for.

anyways, i'm glad i didn't run this rom while testing for the ismart premium review. i'll clean up this post and move it to the front page.

i wonder if this is a simple out of bounds write to the bootstrap area. this was a problem on the acekard while running ysmenu, which is why akaio and the official firmware have had safe-guards coded into the software to prevent these type of writes. however, this can be fixed by reflashing the firmware. maybe its time the ismartds team released their flash kit firmware.

I doubt Normmatt or YWG are interested in doing that. But who knows ?
I'm more to think guys like Carpfish (Fishshell) or Xenon++ will do some work on it.

Anyway, the sdk is not far to be released too.
I already tested a custom kernel made by Carpfish.

That's why my iSmartDS review sample doesn't work anymore after trying Pokémon Black on it :/, didn't have the change to review it even, lolz
Got a Black screen and after reboot with the iSmartDS in the DSi, the DSi only boots into a white screen, no health warning, no DSi GUI, nothing
You have to remove the iSmartDS to boot into the DSi menu.

Clearly something whent terribly wrong after trying Pokémon Black

You should ask for a replacement to George. It's what i have done.

But if i'm correct and looked good, the iSmartDS uses M3DS Real/G6DS Real OS, i do hope those also are not infected

unless it's hardware depended
