Yeah, You can Flash the DVD firmware to run iExtreme, LT, or LT+ depending on the Drive. This just allows you to run backups not really homebrew of any kind. If you want Homebrew you need to do a hardmod called a JTAG and only xbox's with an early version of the dashboard can be JTAG'd
