Man thats Exactly what I was looking for.
I too am frustrated with the 150 limit. 500 is more than fine for my needs.
But unfortunately all of your posted links are dead.
Is there any way that you could get this file to me?
I dont know how to do any of that compiling stuff.
I'm not asking for any changes or new work just need whats already been done.

Yeah, assuming the emulator uses the same macros from libogc (WPAD_BUTTON_LEFT, WPAD_BUTTON_RIGHT, and so on) for the filelist controls, this should be easy.

EDIT: Well, it took a while, but I *think* I did it. The emulator uses an "input port handler" (src/emu/inptport.h) that works by using its own constants and giving them values that correspond with those used in libogc to handle the controller input. Of course, this works by generically using the same constant names with every type of controller; this reduces greatly the amount of code used (and yes, I was expecting this from the beginning).

I don't really know if it will work properly or not - again, I don't have any MAME ROMs :P. Give it a try and tell me: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6957349/powerpc-eabi-mamemini_high-limit+filelist-mod.rar. It still has the 10000 files limit.
Hi there @DarkMatterCore

i don't know if you still have the source code for that modification you have done, but you could please reupload all the source code and the compiled DOL for that?

I've also seen that anybody wanted argument support for WiiFlow to MAME-Wii, so @Wiimpathy time ago made this and i was able to see what file was changed for do that: https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/MAME-Wii/commit/d3a0868c8ab60e55fd5ad0eee8904b23e9b35fbb

Could you please add that WiiFlow mod and recompile that, also sending me that source code of your mod of filelist?

And could you tell us what versions of devkitPPC/libOGC/portlibs, etc. you used for compiling MAME-Wii?

Thanks! :)

We've come a long way - I was just reading this thread and ugh, what hamstrung functionality.

I am very happy with Wiimpathy's Mame 2003 Plus for playing MAME on Wii. It works as (various) Wiiflow plugins.
Wii-Mame has it's uses though. What it does nicely is that you can jump in and out of multiple games very quickly.

However, it'll crash if you go into the settings menu too often. Especially if you're jumping in and out of various games. So pretty much set each game as you want it as you go so you don't have to ever revisit the settings which will pretty much remove the crashing for the most part. Jumping in and out of enough large sized games will also cause crashing.

Also it'll run some games that Mame 2000/2003 won't. Alien Storm and Altered Beast being two that I can think of. In 2000/2003/FBA they either don't start or are severely glitched/broken gameplay-wise. Wii-Mame also has light gun support for the wii-mote, although the supported game list is pretty small(Operation Wolf though!).

Mame 2003 Plus(and even 2000) has the accuracy and performance over Wii-Mame by far.

(please correct me if I'm wrong on the above)
