I ask this because i want to buy one of these, after having my dslite for so many years :)

Can the 3ds play ds games? if not i won't buy one probably.

Which model should i get? And what flashcard?

Thanks :)

If you have a dstwo, can you play even GBA games on a 3ds? That way with virtual console i can play like all games :D

The 3ds XL is just bigger than the 3ds and feels much nicer.
The 3ds has a much better volume than the 3ds XL.
The 3ds/3ds XL support ALL NDS games that the dsi did. (which means no gba slot for guitar hero)
Flash cards work on the 3ds/3dsXL and the dstwo would allow you to play gba games on the 3ds but please do not go pirating.
Buying is the good way of living.

the xl seems to be a step up quality wise, at least as far as shoulder buttons go. screen is also very nice. all ds games work without a problem.
a dstwo should run fine if its updated regularily and gba games should work, however, they wont work any better than they do on a dslite. so theres probably still slowdowns and other problems here or there.

there is no flashcard for 3ds games yet, it'll only work for ds games and whatever homebrew emulators there are.

3DS XL is better than the OG 3DS in pretty much every single aspect.
You won't regret it.

It also looks better than the OG 3DS. If you don't want to buy one, don't, though. It's your money.

Well, the 3DS XL is my choice above the original, the shell of the original was nice but it gave me cramps(you know 'kramp in je handen') I have freaking tiny hands! The XL fits way better, has better 3D effect(big screen is nicer for the eyes) and a better battery! ^o^

get Supercard DSTWO for DS games and buy genuine 3DS games, trust me it'll work well!

No problem! ^o^ If you have any more questions you can ask a lot of the members here. You can ask me in Dutch(trough a PM) if you need to! ;D

How can you like those round things, cheapy plastic buttons and huge pixelated screens?

The buttons feel better and the screens are not pixelated.

As I said, it's your money, and I'm not going to start a pointless argument with you. If you don't want one, don't buy one. We already gave our opinions.

Seems like the xl is the big winner here, ill look into it and make my descision.

3ds for the look
XL for the build

Yes, DS games "work" on both 3DS. They do get sorta blurry from being stretched out though on the regular 3DS, I can't even imagine how bad it is on the XL. I'd seriously suggest holding on to an original DS if you can.
