Hardware Is my SD Card Dead?

I was curious if my sd card has lost it's soul. Yesterday I was using freeshop to download a game update, when i tried to do it, the download said failed to install than then some error and the system rebooted. Now the SD card is being awkward. I can't delete any files on the sd card and i can't format it. I tried so many methods to format but it won't format. But windows still recognize the files. Also the read speed when I copied the files to back up took a very long time considering is a Sandisk Class 10 SD XC memory card.

I just want to know what's wrong with it. 3DS seem to still acknowledge it cause my theme shows up when I boot but none of my install titles are accessible.

Sounds to me your SD card is dying.

Have you got a backup of your files n what not?
If so or don't mind losing it, try running h2testw on it.

I backed up all the data, i just can't do anything like delete or format. I wanted to format and run H2test but I can't format.

I spent 3 hours waiting for files to delete, and when i did the computer re mounted the drive and showed everything was back on there. O_O

Edit - BTW, if you're looking for a new SD card after this, check my signature. You may format yours as FAT32 and 64 KB cluster size [if its at minimum 128 GB*], instead of the generally recommended 32 KB for a speed boost. Cards that are 128 GB and above can mitigate some of the slow loading, but not every user reports perfect compatibility. You'll have to check for yourself if 64 KB works for your later rebuilt setup.
