So I was on my modded switch then I accidentally went to fast and clicked update on a game. Then my switch turned off and everytime I try to load into atmosphere it gives me an error message saying

Has genius ceremonted!
Trying backup bootloader..
Found pkg1 ('20240207110330%)
Unknown pkel version.
HOs version not supported!
Failed to launch HOS!
Press any key...

Is my switch now broken and bricked?

No, you didn't update atmosphere and Hekate. Next time use Google, you have tons of threads with the same error and solutions.

Beside never use machine translation on error log, it will skew whatever you will paste like here first line doesn't make any sense.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
