Hacking Is M3i Zero the best flashcart ever?

Look at my topic's title. Please discuss this topic. If you say no, then tell me why AND state the flashcart except M3i Zero.

For me it's probably around a tie between an Acekard 2i and the M3i Zero. On one hand the M3 has RTS, In-Game Guide etc. but is higher in prices whereas the Acekard is very cheap and has AKAIO which has extremely fast updates which fix anti-piracy issues as well as a very helpful development team who involve themselves in the GBAtemp community moreso than any of the official flash cartridge firmware development teams.

Maybe. As of now, it could be one of the best (but just below this topic is someone already claiming his doesn't work). However, it still has no DSi features, and if in the future there are real DSi flash cards, then those would be better.

I really dislike choosing favorites, because so many carts have their ups and downs.

In the end though, I'd have to say that the M3i Zero is a really nice compilation of all the best things a cartridge has to offer. The beauty and smoothness of moonshell 2, the ability to flash its core firmware/bootloader, RTS, great rom support, built-in support for dpg...it's hard to beat.

The only things I'd like to see in it are:
wifi updating
copy/paste/delete
more skins...

Calm down, and try to understand that DSi hack might possibly need a hardware upgrade, and not just software upgrade or different bootloader!

I think it kinda retarded to care about Dsi function on a cart at this stage, the cameras, better processing & Usb slot just lower your battery life, the web browser is a good example. When the hack is made I hope home brew creators get the first swing at using it, to make a few things, demos and so on as a hack is useless to norm homebrew fans till there a need. there no DSi only game worth caring about yet, the only reason to even have a DSi for now is if your a blind woodsmen, So that u have a bigger screen & to make it so your ds can browse the web for porn nutting more.

But I digress.

The M3i Is rated highly, But the ezflash is is great to, while you will need an old DS to upgrade it, its still upgradeable & the supercard one had a nice cart to pc usb linking, that seems more sturdy then the M3i idea, but all it come down to is, What GUI's you like best, the 3 upgradeable cards seem to have a low themes selection, so I'm never going to say that the M3i Zero is the best but, from reviews I've seen its the highest rated.

Seems like you don't know anything about hardware and software. If you were to use the new dsi hack, you would need a different hardware chip. everytime you flash the m3i zero with the F_Core.dat file does not solder any new chip parts into the card. Therefore you need another card that will be DSI mode compatible. The flashing, can however rewrite the card so that the dsi firmware updates dont affect it, but it cant just solder in new chips to the card. Ever wonder why in the team twiizers hack video there was a set of wires and a pcb chip hanging out the back of the game cartridge inside the dsi? Yea thats why.........

I am sorry but i have emailed cyclo ds team and asked if they are ging to release dsi cart but they said that a lot of people left the cyclo team so it's going to be hard to make one right now.
But they are going to keep support cyclo ds's firmware

ATM I'd say maybe/mostly no because of bricking it so easily .... if the M3 team replaced them then it would be more of a maybe than a no. Then again they would be losing so much money. So how many people have bricked theirs?

ATM probably. If you can't run the homebrew you want in Sakura, you can just boot up into touchpod and WHOOOHOO! hahaha. I am extremely satisfied with my M3i

Someone said they are easily bricked, well I think not. There is just a bad batch of them out there being sold. I was lucky to get one that works the way it is suppose to. No issues at all so far whatsoever.

hmmm, its hard to say at this point, maybe the old chips can work, it depend on what the hack is, you may need a DSi enhanced game, a slot two cart, a way to swap the saves and a mother f**king panda to make something happen (there no point in guessing people).

but I have to agree it is stupidity to be leave any cart, right off the bat could update to use the DSi mode, it ok to think that a cart may as theres always a chance.

Yea i agree with that, but as you see, he said "fully upgradable" it probably cannot work that way just flashing it. But yea maybe, with a slot 2 cart, since that does mean there is another hardware chip Well.... the only problem is the dsi doesn't have a slot 2

so it will most likely need another flashcard to come out for dsi mode to be enabled, but we can all dream

Ummmmm, aren't you the one spreading idiotic falsities?

Team Twiizers have already stated the PCB is an Arduino they're using for debugging purposes only. It isn't needed. From what we can see, Twiizers are just using a regular game cart and using the arduino to monitor the goings ons. People are saying it's a save game hack. Regular flashcarts can change game saves already, can't they?

I'm not sure of anything, but I'd like to think existing cards can boot into DSi mode.
