Hardware Is it possible to run Linux Mint Kubuntu or Ubuntu on a 16GB HDD

if the iso can fit and you're not worried about the space for a swap partition then you should be good to go

Yes but they aren’t going to leave much space. Something like Debian or even Arch/Manjaro might be better if you want to have less OS taking up that space.

Possible, yes. Practical? Nooooo. You will get the OS and maybe a few gigs to spare.

If space is an issue like that I'd go with a distro like puppy linux or damn small linux
