You aren't the only one, it happens to me, not always but when we are 4 players fighting at the same time, is ok with other games like MK and COD 5.

happens to me too both with back up and original game

and i have 10mb broadband nothing else running but wii, tried wired and wireless connection and still no avail
ive even gone to the extreme and tested pings, the lot and everything is fast enough

its a pitty cos its a freaking awesome game but the lag puts me right off even trying online matches

i get the same sort of thing with mario strikers too

why is it always the good games that get it [IMG]
gladly mk and cod waw work a treat [IMG]

you'll get lots of lag if one of the players has a crappy connection. Doesn't really matter how good your connection is if one of the other players has a bad one, since the game has to only keep up with the worst connection.

Make sure you play Regional and not Worldwide. That will narrow down your choices but there will be a less chance of laggers.

I'm pretty sure that's not even an option in Smash, perhaps you're thinking of Mario Kart.
