Well mine's running Dragon Quest IX right now so I don't think so. The Cyclo is still pretty well supported.

I doubt that you could solely have such an impact on the CycloDS community...

And no, it's not dead. It just hasn't needed an update in a while.

I am SO glad I bought a Cyclo. Yeah, it cost me a tonne compared to other cards, but I've never had a single issue with it. Not one that hasn't been resolved within about a week with a firmware update or a patch or something. It's quite possibly the best supported card ever. It was well worth the money.

If what they've done for the standard DS is anything to go by, the Cyclo DSi will probably make us all poo our pants with excitement.

well to be perfectly honest, there may never be a cyclo dsi. if you think about it all the dsi compatible cards were...they were flashcards with things like rom headers and whatnot that boot closer to how a real ds game would...

the cyclo ds has an internal 2MB of flash memory similar to what all of the dsi compatible carts have, so in all actuality it may just be a firmware update that makes cyclo ds use a legitmate game's rom header and all of that other junk that the new dsi compatible carts use in order to be booted on a dsi...

but just on the topic of having internal firmware memory...cyclods was the first to do that...and it has been out for years...think of all of the forethought they had in mind when they made such a cart...

I see how you could misinterpret my words

It was merely the reason I wanted to know whether or not team cyclops was releasing updates, or if there are any under-the-table updates like with the TTDS. Because I wasn't up to date.

The last firmware update was only like 2 weeks ago. They are not dead, but since they don't have a DSi compatible cart, they are less popular than they used to be, that's all.

They have 2 GUI's for the cart now. You can use the older GUI (1.59) or the new GUI (B.3).

No, the card can never just receive a firmware update to gain the ability to work on a DSi. Team Cyclops has said this themselves. The bootstrap in a CycloDS is hardcoded, not software flashable.

Don't want to veer too far off topic, but what's the difference between the two GUI's?

In the New GUI: Extra menus to set settings (Y button), shortcuts to favorite games(in Moonshell icon, or on main menu, your preference), save size selection (if needed), multiple save slots, simple file manager(delete, cut, copy, paste), etc.
