Hello,

I finally succeeded in updating my WiiU to 5.5.1u ! (thanks again to all that helped)

To do so I unblock any url from Nintendo I previously blocked.

What next ?
I should block them back (url filter in my router), use another method, keep it open it doesn't matter anymore ?

Thanks

I think most people use TubeHax and nothing else. A few, including me, use url blocking but I think it might be overkill.

Yes it's still relevant. 5.5.2 Could be released any day.

Either use tubehax DNS 107.211.140.065 or block the following urls in your router settings
  • nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
  • nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
  • nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
  • nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
  • nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
  • c.shop.nintendowifi.net
  • cbvc.cdn.nintendo.net
  • cbvc.nintendo.net

Question, does online play still work with Tubehax DNS enabled? I know it blocks Eshop and game updates.

Pretty soon we're gonna be in need of emuNAND, or firmware spoofing once a new update it out.

tubehax only blocks the updates you can still play games online.

i just create two connections to my wifi in settings, one with tubehax and one without so you can just change the default quickly if you ever need to unblock the updates for a game or what have you

I blocked those using my router URL filter to be sure in the meantime.

eShop and game updates still work. At least they do if you don't block c.shop.nintendowifi.net.
There's literally no downside to blocking the update servers, except it makes updating my 3DS kind of annoying :P
