Developer Jonathan Levin, who recently released LiberTV, a tvOS jailbreak for versions 11.1.2, just released the first public iOS 11 root, supporting all devices running versions iOS 11.1.2 and below, dubbed "LiberiOS".
Currently, this isn't a "proper" jailbreak. You cannot install tweaks or use Cydia on iOS 11 yet, however saurik is working hard to update it for use on the new firmwares. It currently doesn't have much use for the end user, however it holds a lot of promise for a full iOS jailbreak and further proves that iOS hacking is far from dead. Furthermore, Levin called this jailbreak the "2nd movement" and informs us that there is more to come.
