Remind me years ago they used to have nicktoons summer film festival, they used to have like showcase animation of various videos and you can vote on your favorite ones and they make a show of it. I hope that they aren't trying to consider that again, that is a bad sign.

Awesome, the creator of Harvey Beaks said in a tweet not long ago that an Invader Zim tv movie was indeed in the works when someone asked if he'd ever like to work on the series if he could have or something like that. But then Vasquez was quick to tweet that such a thing gets reported every year and not to look too into it.

I remember kinda doubting Vasquez there, since he didn't flat out deny it. Pretty great now to get confirmation that it is indeed happening.

there was that, he wasn't easy to work with and they have a certain work environment they like to keep. but also the theme/atmosphere of the show didn't feel right to nickelodeon after 9/11 and school shootings.

They are desperate for views. Zim isnt the only series getting a movie with the original cast, Nick is also doing movies for Rocco's Modern Life, and Hey Arnold!

I'm still in shock. Vasquez himself has said repeatedly that the series would NEVER return. I've never been so happy to find out someone is a liar, lol.

There was also the discovery of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac by overbearing, frumpy mothers which sent them into a frenzy over the show.

To be fair, Vasquez constantly fought with Nick to bring characters from JtHM into the show, and even kill off characters in Zim. He didn't seem to understand he was writing for a kids network, lol. Still love the guy, though.
