Well it had to happen eventually , something somewhere shorted and smoke was released, board is shot.... REALLY really pissed. Devin , How much to ship that rev a/b to NJ ? If I'm gonna start over I might as well use a rev a or b for easy access to the power regulator. I might be able to kick out my huge battery and use the screen batter This pushed my project back pretty far. And I won't be finished when I hoped (next week was the goal ) No Idea when I will get that wiikey installed as I have not even ordered a breakout board, but if i can get my hands a a GC i can slim the dd down a little

Edit: Found the problem, completely un fixable, the processor didn't have the heat sink on and was exposed, two wires shorted out on top of it , I can see a faint mark on it.

I was able to squeeze them both into a $10.95 Priority box, but sadly I can't ship anything out until I get a few more dollars to buy a printer.

Ohh, ouch. Project looks neat - I've always wanted to try something like this. I wish you the best of success in the future of your project and look forward to seeing the end result.

Wow today isn't my day , lose my only motherboard, hit traffic on the way to the shore, almost ran out of gas. , Now it is windy/rough on the water so instead of an offshore tuna/shark fishing trip its just 3 miles off the beach for whatever we can catch, def coming back sunday only to do nothing .

Heh yeah, she just started picking at it for some reason. The other one is perfectly fine however. Have them both boxed up if you need/can use them.

Yeah I'm gonna def need the good one ,the regulator board is gonna be a pain but it'll work , I'm debating trimming them to free up space in the case, I have $11 for whenever you ship them , doing some stuff for my dad to get the breakout board for the wiikey. Might still be able to finish by next week. Going home later sunday still have to do some stuff down here. Gonna try to finish up all the work that needs to be done tonight

I have on my list right now, marino sunshine, kirby airride, zelda, pokemon collesuem +xd, some game I played when the gc was cool and its memory blocks are still on my memcard, sonic adventures 2 metroid, mario kart, melee, .. Thats about it , think i can fit that on a 8gig sdcard?

A typical GameCube Iso is almost 1.5 gigs... so you might need a bit more than that. You'll only be able to fit about 4 or 5 games on an 8gig sd card.

There's a way to trim/compress the ISOs, but I'm not sure how... and I'm not sure how much they can be compressed.

yea i've done it with wii iso's before but not latley, not since i bricked my wii haha

I've used GCMUtility with great success, but I unfortunately don't know of any programs that support batch scrubbing (why someone wouldn't implement it is beyond me)
