Thanks , hoping to do a different portable. But not for a while. Right now Im thinking of doing a ps2p. But thats not even gonna be started for months.

Nice! You could probably could still put a casing around the controllers, if you are still working on it that is.

2 hours can get you house to house.

Maybe you can make a custom car charger for it.

i might be able to, i got a carcharger that came with the screen and the gamecube draws 12 v

Thats actually the battery i used lol. I gutted it though there was way too much wasted space with it in that case.

Update: My new 3d Printer is assembled, the temp control is shot though. So in the mean time I may start desighning a case for it. Although larger items don't print well.

I have a direction I plan on going in now. Took EVERYTHING apart. Gonna wire the vga into the PCB of the screen to free up room on the side plus it looks better. Gonna use the controller handle as part of the case. Using all the buttons on this one. De-soldering the joystick so that I can put the Controller pcb somewhere else. Gonna try to get a Wiikey fusion to thin it up a bit.

Finally reviving it after some weeks, ordered a blank Pcb which should come today and I already Have the design made up ( It's a surprise) I am Going to TRY to make it look not like crap but no promises, Still looking around for a WIikey fusion, no one has them that accepts paypal.

I really have no experience in this field, so I really don't have any idea. Sorry. You could try researching other "big" guys who've made portables, such as Ashen, and see what they've used. I saw one guy on Youtube who made a portable N64 by using a plastic GBA carrying case. lol

lol , i was originally gonna 3d print out some parts but my printer is messed up I am gonna try to sand and spray paint plexiglass and see how it looks.

Yeah I got it in may, so far its been a bitch to get decent quality, My main problem now is that my prints lean to the right if printed higher than 1cm .Etching the pcb now , idk how it will turn out though , this is the first time i etched with vinegar

Pcb etched pretty crappy, I was gonna use it for the controller but thats not happening , black paint on plexiglass looks pretty good, going to order some buttons for the controller , Working on the layout of it and might be getting a wiikey soon(hopefully) Might post some pics later, Trying for full controller capability but we'll see how that works out.

As promised heres some pics of paint, layout and the controller. In addition to working on the layout I also ran the vga wires through the inside of the screen case so that It looks better and the controller will fit. they are BIG I can't resize them on the forum.

3d printer Is finally working acceptably , working on designing brackets to mount the case and keep it removable. Buttons are coming tommorrow so I can finish my controller mod, haven't heard anything about the wii-key yet .

Should I quickly go buy an actual GameCube for $30?
