Wired the controller, Then found out that the joystick is shot and I can't resolder another one to it, It also was supplied power from the Data line, which is retarded. So I have an official one on the way. Will start cutting some plasitc maybe?

Waiting for a controller, wired all the wires needed to the gamecube for the wiikey, still need to wire to the breakout board. I have an essay due monday so I'm taking a break to start.

Man , Biggest mistake yet possibly, Incompatible Gamecube board with wiikey THE ONLY BOARD THAT DOESN'T WORK I HAVE. I already wired it up and have no other gamecube, I think there is a chance to make it work but it could ruin the Wiikey and I can't do it until I get a controller anyway

Nope! It took 20+Wires to wire the wiikey alone.

Meh, still have no gamecube that can be used , once I finish it. I may sell it sadly. It all depends on whether or not 3rd party wiikey's can be confirmed working with the gamecube. Depending on how it turns out, I'll ask about $250-$400 since I've seen some pretty crappy ones sell for $350, without the wiikey too. I do plan on making another, maybe like Tchay's Ccube, and sell that one aswell. (Not a fan of the gameboy style ones myself) Don't want to get a real job XD(I'm 16)

Still no gamecube I did get a new dremel kit and soldering Iron for christmas though . Good thing too, My old one had some chips in the tip. Any idea on what that could be from? I know certain metals can corrode others when heated but I would think solder wouldn't do that.

I ended up burning a hole through my original soldering iron through the course of normal use, though I did not clean it like I do now. It was a Harbor Freight 30w iron, normal tip, leaded flux-core solder. My new tips, freaking DealExtreme ones, have withstood everything so far, though I clean them between uses (usually).
