Well perhaps we can ask to the developers of Fennec to port the navigator to wii and psp perhaps, if the use java. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Fennec.
The have a PowerPC version too: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/powerpc...1.0~a2-0ubuntu1 perhaps it can be compiled for wii

AFIAK, Fennec has yet to secure Flash support, though I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to.

Making a browser from the ground up or porting one over isn't too difficult, once you have the basics. I'm not the one to accomplish this and it seems like anyone who could is busy with other things.

With that said, today is the first day I'll be able to actually get an early start on the channel, so I should be able to upload what I have so far, once I test it. Don't expect much, though.

Care to clue me in on what exactly that is?

I've been asking for help on IRCs(wiidev & WADder) and icefire told me to use Zetsubou to pack my TPLs as its the only app that can compress many pics in 1 TPL. GenTPl and TPLConv can only pack 1 file per TPL. The only prob with Zetsubou is that I didn't feel like reinstalling my Linux OS(messing with files and accidently broke my install) so I wanted to try to compile it on Windows. Finally, I decided to reinstall Linux as my Windows doesn't work correctly.

Once I'm done compiling my TPLs and my theme, I'll PM it to you. It took quite a while to recolor +300 pics since I had to play with layers and saturation and other things in GIMP and I don't know CSS.

I am finishing my script to install it (I was working on something else so I didn't work on it) so everything should be ok by the end of the week. No promises.

Hope everything's clear now.

Zetsubou is a branch of the Benzin banner manipulation package. It's only released as source so i've never had the chance to try it yet.

Ah. I forgot about those tools.

@forbore: CSS is as simple as HTML, especially if you edit them with Dreamweaver or Amaya(free). Changing the color only takes one line of editing in the stylesheet.

Anyway, things have been painfully slow lately -- I had to scrap what I was working on, because halfway through, I realized I was modifying an older version of the browser that doesn't support USB.

Pretty frustrating....

what changes have you made on the browser so far guys..??

I mentioned what I'm working on, already. Tabs, new homepage, and other minor improvements.

The wiitab.com code is still giving me trouble when the on-screen keyboard displays, though. You go to enter an address, and after clicking "OK", the form blanks.

I haven't figured out why, yet. If I had help, I could get it out faster.

Please do... at least then I won't feel as bad for not having something out to you guys sooner.

Not yet. I'm still looking into ways it could be accomplished.

teq - Think you can shrink the nav bar or move it to the side?

I'm a web developer myself so if you want any help PM me and we can talk.

Well, the nav bar can be toggled with the 1 button. Shrinking it is easy to do, disabling it even easier.

What I'd like to do, however, is make it function more like a traditional browser's nav bar. The way to do this is integrate an address/search bar, which can be done via javascript.

I'm pretty rusty with Javascript, so this might be something you could help out with. Take a look at the code from wiitab.com. This is what I'd like to integrate into the browser. But, as I mentioned before, inputting text into the form does not work with the on-screen keyboard enabled.
