I am making a bit where the heating in a house is not working and you go in the scary basement.

Do you really think that's what most people would do? Most of the time I don't even notice my heating going off and on, unless you mean for some reason the air con goes crazy and makes everything really cold, in which case I think the protagonist would still rather just put on something warm then venture into a dark basement. It just doesn't really seem to make sense that he would do that.

Now if the power was out and you had to fix the fuse on the other hand, maybe. But you hardly ever see fuse boxes in basements these days.

Although my parents house which is around 100 years old or so had the fusebox near the front door, up high on a wall.

Still, going into a dark cold basement to fix heating when you could just put on a sweater is still fucking dumb. In the horror genre realism and urgency is more important than anything, if people can't relate to it they won't be scared by it.

True. If something supernatural was haunting me, my priority wouldn't be "Hey, is anyone else cold in here?".

This would work well on Wii aswell I think, especially with the Vitality sensor being released! It gets scarier the more your pulse starts to race! That would be awesome.

I'd think I would still go down there, although I'm the brave type.
