You can't get characters from the 2nd game, as far as I know.

it also gives you inazuma eleven 2 kits and formations but the formations dont work

I found Heaven's Gate in a chest at the tower after beating the game. And the Phoenix was in a chest at the Station on the right when you come in.

Anyone know what the Big Boots you find behind the shed at the tower are for? (They're not for equipping)

they are used to recruit a striker by the name of Saggy, in the hobby shop in the Shopping area. if youre patient in levelling him he can be a great reserve striker behind axel. (i use a 4-5-1 bow and arrow formation)
