I'm having the same problem as yaymii, except it's with jenesis
when I go into the official menu it works, but in imenu it won't load any game

I had that problem a while ago, you have to use an earlier build of jenesis.

Thanks spinal, I'll try it when I get home from work

Along with my Lameboy issues, I can't get Moonshell's softreset or DSDoom to function. What do I do?
I'll have to dig out my Doom disks to check that out - but as for the Moonshell thing... it's just that unfortunately - a 'Moonshell' thing

It seems that copying the DSTwo.nds into '/moonshl2/resetmse/' & renaming it to 'dsi2.nds' doesn't work (BTW this was a 'tip' for beta1 - so I guess it doesn't work the same way with b2/b3), even attempting to run 'DSTwo.nds' straight from Moonshell file selection doesn't either - but doing so through 'DSOrganise' or 'Xenofile' it DOES work fine (so that's why I'm guessing there a conflict somehow between Moonshell and iMenu)

The only way I've managed to 'reset to firmware' from Moonshell is by copying/renaming the original DSTwo's 'DStwo.nds' into the resetmse folder.
It does mean that when you reset from moonshell it boots into the 'Plugin menu' though - but since I have a 'iMenu' plugin on that, I use that to get back into iMenu (or I just 'softreset' by pressing the power button on my DSi)

EDIT: Doom problem:
OK Found my WAD files.. first question WHICH DSDoom are you using 'official 1.1.0' or 'unofficial 1.1.2a' ??
I can get Doom to run BUT there's a 'display problem' on starting up (guess Spinal may need looking into this) - you don't get to see the 'options' & you have to guess (I'm using unofficial version BTW)
  • In iMenu go to your DSDoom icon & press 'A' -You end up with 2 white screens (I hope)
  • Wait a few seconds
  • Press 'A' AGAIN (you are actually 'selecting' single player mode' although you can't see it)

  • If you are using the 1.1.2 (the one that allows selecting the WAD you want to play)
  • Press the D-pad down to select the required WAD you want
    • Doom: don't press D-pad
      DoomII: press D-pad ONCE
      TNT: press D-pad TWICE
      Plutonium: Press D-pad THREE times
  • Now Press 'A' (you are NOW selecting the WAD you want to play)
[*]Wait... about 10-15sec..game will now start

If you are using the 1.1.0 version - make sure the WAD(s) (Doom.wad and prboom.wad) are on the root, and follow the steps above that are in bold

Yeah, I'm using 1.1.2a with all 4 games. Maybe Spinal can fix that in a later update.

I still have 2 questions:
1. In your iMenu beta3 pre-release demo video, there's an animation when you select an icon. Is that in the final build? If so, how do you enable it?
2. Do you have any ideas on how I could fix my Lameboy issue? (jurassicplayer said it was working on his end, but it's not on mine. I don't know what I'm doing wrong since it works if I boot it from the default plugin menu)

Sorry - that's only on the Pre-release version (I admit I do like it as well) AFAIK there's no option to enable that.
Only Spinal can tell you why it was removed/disabled - I can only take a wild guess it MIGHT have something to do with some of the screen display issues found

Nope, got no idea - Your lameboy INI is almost the same as mine, but why your's don't work and mine does I don't know EXCEPT I did have a problem with iMenu_(pre)b3 and it's 'B to cancel Icon mode' function & quick formatting the card didn't cure it but a FULL format did. However THAT could've been because of the different versions of Pre-b3 I had & the fact all I did was (originally) overright the existng previous version(s)

Have you tried different 'Lameboy' by any chance ?? - FYI My Lameboy is 214,592 bytes in size (v012 - I think), & what games have you tired - perhaps your ROMS are 'wrong' & it's that what's causing the problem (FYI - I've tried only Zelda Games)

Okay, I've been experimenting, trying different things, trying different versions, deleting my config file, etc. And I got it to work. Kinda.

Well, when I load Lameboy through the official plugin menu, everything works the way it's supposed to. When I load Lameboy through iMenu, all of my ROMs go to a black screen, except one. Super Mario Bros Deluxe loads completely fine. If I select another game after loading SMB Deluxe, that game loads fine too.

So for some reason, if I try to load a different game right after booting Lameboy, it doesn't work. I have to load SMB Deluxe first then switch to a different game to get it to work. And it doesn't have this issue if I load the emulator through Moonshell or the official menu.

This is a strange and unique problem, and I still don't know what's causing it.

This sounds kind of similar to the problem with savestates and arg...apparently BAGSFC can't see the savestates (looking in the wrong folder maybe?) when you use arg, though after reloading a new game, it works out just fine...I'm thinking my problem isn't due to iMenu though (maybe BAG forgot something xD?).

I was waiting for Dpad controls, but just before it came I've already got rid of the offical plugin menu.

autobooting eos ftw!
