How do you create the shortcuts for SNES and GBA games?
From the last beta, you just set up the ini like the regular SNES plugin and then have the arg point to the file that you want to load.
Ermm. I think what he's asking is how to LAUNCH SNES and GBA ROMS from iMenu.... You can't (not with GBA - since noones had the source code) & you need a 'special' BagsSFC that accepts ARG for launching SNES Roms (which IS mentioned in the video).

It was mentioned in the older post. The problem is I can't remember/find the link Spinal gave me for it....

For some reason my MAME icons appear offset:

Yeah, i noticed that as well. I just made a set of all 8 MAME ones and added 'em to my Locopacks iMenu Arcade folder.

Nice, thanks a lot. Got everything situated now, and am really digging the new flexebility of this menu. Thanks again to Spinal.

I just merged VatoLoco's icon pack with the b3 download (hope you don't mind) so that's an incredible 250 icons included!

[edit] Also added jurassicplayer's and Gay Little Catboy's icons, making the total so far to be 268 icons.

Also changed the Arg in the ini editor to a file browser, rather than a text input. (suggested by jurassicplayer).

I really like this but what keeps me from using it is the big stupid clock and the big DSTWO emblazoned on the front. First off I know it's a DSTWO because I bought the freaking card in the first place. I hate obnoxious branding it makes what you have look cheap. Secondly the DS makes a shitty clock. If I need to know the time I don't stop the game I'm playing and reboot my DS to see what time it is. I look at my phone, the wall, or the computer to get the time. I'm rather see icons on both screens. That would look more clean, and less cheesy.

You can easily 'remove' the clock by editing the 'clock.ini' file so that 'type=0' & you can change the top screen to whatever you like by replacing 'top_bk.bmp' with another picture that's 256x192, so you can't use THAT as an excuse

If you bothered looking in the older iMenu thread, you'll see there's ways of changing the skin & a few 'settings' that can be changed as well

As for having icons over BOTH screens - so how are you gonna select those on the top one ???

@ Spinal: 2 things - what about my suggestions ??

& technically although there's 268 icons they are not all unique icons - there are duplicates there

I'm sorry for being such a n0ob but: can anyone explain to me why some of my icon images aren't showing up? I'm trying to get images for the MAME stuff, and the Dictionary homebrew, but none of them are showing up. They all work, though.

Example of one of the ini's:

Code:
[plug setting]
icon=fat1:/_imenu/_images/icons/mameatarnamco.bmp
name=NAMCO
file=/_dstwoplug/mameatarnamco.plg
number=9
dock=0
note=
arg=

Thanks. And thank you RoMee for answering my last question.

Take out the "fat1:"

Thanks...

For some reason, Lameboy has been refusing to load ROMs in iMenu B3. I couldn't load it in B2 either (it worked fine in B1). But for some reason it works if I load the official plugin loader and run it from there.
I've also been having the same problem with DSDoom (and maybe some others I haven't tried). nesDS and the .plg plugins work fine though.

Can you fix this? Thanks.

Can't see it being anything to do with the INI file (since I guess Lameboy actually starts up) but just to check.. Does your Lameboy.INI look like this (I can only think you MAY have something in the Arg= line)
CODE[plug setting]
Icon=/_imenu/_images/icons/lameboy.bmp
Name=Lameboy
File=/_dstwoplug/lameboy.nds
Number=2
dock=1
note=Change descriptionin.ini file
Arg=

My ini's almost exactly the same as yours (except mine's not on the dock). So it's not that.
And yeah, it starts up, but it goes to a black screen after selecting a ROM. And I don't know what it is, since if I load the official plugin loader from iMenu and start Lameboy from there, it works fine.

I'm having the same problem as yaymii, except it's with jenesis
when I go into the official menu it works, but in imenu it won't load any game

I had that problem a while ago, you have to use an earlier build of jenesis.
