Not yet, but by the time these guys get done with the partial translation, the US version should be out

Sadly, Square-Enix has yet to announce any plans on bringing Final Fantasy IV stateside. I'd preorder it in a heartbeat, if they would. At least, we will see Final Fantasy Tactics A2 this summer.
At this point, it has been sort of confirmed, just without a release date yet. It was recently shown on Nintendo Power's cover with a 10-page story, and all of the screenshots were apparently translated. So...here's hoping.

Its kind of obvious it'll be translated since every FF remake has been translated.

I'm just happy that people who hadn't already played FFIV can now play and enjoy what is one of my absolute favorite RPG's of all time.

Hurray!

I hope they leave in the Japanese voice acting.

Impossible due to memory capacity.
Not exactly, there is a game that has -FULL- voice acting for everything in the game, text, actions, ect. Though it was the first and from what I believe the only game to have a 2048 Mbit (Which is double from the current max memory games use now) which is about 256 megabytes.

There are actually FOUR games that have the 2048 Mbit capacity, and those include ASH, Tokimeki Memorial, Sunrise Anime Duke, and Vitamin X Revolution, all (J) games. And also consider that it'll cost more in manufacturing if they were to have 2048 Mbit carts, and as a result, retail prices would rise, less people would buy (well, if it did cost around $50, I certainly wouldn't buy it). So it's pretty improbable they'd want to double the cart size for JP voice acting.

I remember one game that had JP and EN voice acting, and that's Phantom Brave. It wasn't a very enjoyable game, but the dual voice acting option was really appealing.

I just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work on this patch. Also, I was wondering if you guys need any more help?

Even though I would still love to play it in english(though its highly unlikely now) ASH sold so poorly in Japan and you can import it from Play-asia for less than 20 bucks

lol, just checked.
no way they are going to add japanese AND english voices.
FFIV has about 2-3MB of space left out of it's 128MB
and the voices take up a total of 10MB
that means adding a total of 120 MB of waste-space?
i bet they'd do anything to keep the game just within the "cheap" 128MB(1024Mb) size

They'll have English voices.
Then we will use DSLazy and replace the sound files!

Yay!
