Hacking I'm in a pickle, please help me out.

Okay I stopped following the Wii Scene for along time, and now i want to be able to play games off a USB Hardrive.

Okai first things, i updated to 4.0U, My Homebrew channel (Beta 8) is still working, and all my installed Wads work.

For some reason i cant update my Homebrew channel. I cant install the Custom IOS 10. I've been searching and reading different articles for ages, but i can't get my head around it. And im unsure which one to follow.

So can someone help me out? Btw if it helps, I have a WiiKey installed, i didnt softmod.

You can use the HackMii installer to update the Homebrew Channel (as well as install BootMii).

After that, search the forum for a 4.0 downgrade guide. You need to downgrade so you can get cIOS installed properly, after which you'll be able to do a patched update back to 4.0 and preserve your hacks.
