Homebrew I'm an utter noob, please help.

Bricked, triggered, frustrated... is there a way to get rid of everything without screwing up my game data?

Crap, I have to leave the house so you tell me if I screwed up. I finished the ctrnand transfer step and now when I boot the device and insert the card all icons are there but nothing (including soundhax) loads. Will the last step fix this? Absolutely nothing happens if I try to boot the device whilst the SD card is in but I'm pretty sure this is normal.

It is 100% normal countinue following the guide and at the end it should return to normal when you restore your nand backup and tickets.

Ok, I it says to "copy the arm9loaderhax.bin file from Luma3DS.zip to the root of my SD card. Luma3DS.zip is a single file and doesn't have any arm9loaderhax.bin. I have decided to push past that to see what would happen and when I got to part II(installing arm9loaderhax) the first step is to enter the SD card and boot the device but the device will not boot with the SD card inserted. Did I screw up?
