Homebrew I'm about to Homebrew my 3DS, anyway to make sure it stays that way?

I really don't understand what issues you're having. You did a 2.1.0 ctrtransfer, right? Did you install A9LH when you were on 2.1.0? Did you then perform a 9.2.0 ctrtransfer?

I'm surprised with how hard it is to homebrew my 3DS..
To be completely honest, it's not that hard as long as you follow the guide to the letter.

It's "hard" to hack it. Homebrew just get a game, put some files into your microSD and read a QR code or something like that.

Yes, I'm familiar with Android. I've rooted most of my Android phones until recently. It's not worth voiding the warentee.

Either way, I'm going through with it. I just need to put the apps and ROMs for Emulators.
I want to be prepared so I don't have to remove my Micro SD Card later. I'm not super happy with having to unscrew the back of it every time.
I had to buy a specific screwdriver set just to do so.
You can do like N3DS Dev units and cut a hole in the back of your 3DS:

SD is not for emunand.
Crap.

Guess I'll have to wait until my Micro SD card reader comes in the mail.
I used to have one but lost it. I've been doing this by using my SHIELD tablet which works fine for file transfer. Formatting is a different story.

Okay, so I'm guessing I'll have to backup all of my files and format it through whatever software I have to use. That said, I can just backup, format, and put all of my stuff back, correct? Or do I have to do all of this again?

Honestly I wouldn't even care if I had to start over. I kinda have an idea of what I'm doing at this point. I'm surprised with how hard it is to homebrew my 3DS. I don't think I've ever worked this hard to hack something. I've homebrewed my Wii and rooted some particularly resilient Android phones but I never had to do something this complicated.
Backup, format and put your stuff back. a9lh is now installed (If you already installed it) inside your NAND chip (don't ask, just imagine it like your 3DS internal storage). As long as there's an arm9loaderhax.bin in you microSD or CTRNAND, it should boot up.

Yeah I did the ctrtransfer. The error I was getting was telling me my card wasn't properly formatted.
I found my old microSD card reader and can use that but I need to figure out where I was since it's been such a long time.

Oooooohhhhhh... This is really bad.
I try to boot my 3DS but all that happens is: The blue light turns on for a second and immediately fades out.
I tried charging it but I get the same result.
I may have a big problem.

Do you have arm9loaderhax.bin in the root of your microSD or in your CTRNAND?

You already installed a9lh?
I'm not sure. I don't quite remember. The last time I was working on Homebrewing the thing was Christmas and I've forgotten a lot of steps.
I backed up my SD card, formatted it, then put all of the files back.

I stopped due to an error with SD card not being formatted properly to run something.
Something about EMUNAND.

I don't remember if I did this through Luma or Hourglass.

Then go to the bottom of this page. Also, there's this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/safehax-11-1-2-downgrade-without-dsiware.455456/

The bottom of the page?
The very bottom is for a blue screen error. The screen isn't blue.
Or do you mean I should log into the IRC?
I really, really don't know if you're joking or not.

Obviously, look at the problem you're actually having: "Black screen on SysNAND boot after installing arm9loaderhax".

Of course I'm not joking. By black screen do you mean the screen doesn't turn on at all or do you mean the light comes on but the screen is just black?
Because the screen doesn't turn on at all.

Have you, by chance, opened your console?

Try a diffrent sd card by redownloading the arm9loader hax.bin. and place all the other files from the sd card you are curently using onto the new sd card.

What do you mean by "Console?"
Do you mean opening the 3DS or do you mean something like a command prompt?

The only other SD Card big enough is in my tablet. I'll need a minute to back that up.
