Ok so I run the bootstrap updater.
I see bupdate.bin
I put it in my DS lite
It starts flashing
Flashing ends in like 40 secs
I reboot
Icon is still iEDGE and not Sudoku
It starts flashing again
Everytime I turn it on it re flashes
I have never seen the Sudoko icon
My microSD is formatted and only has bpdate.bin in root

Try haddad's video tutorial.

Why did you even buy that thing, Rockstar? You are an intelligent guy. Just because it's $14 now, or what?

No actually Im setting it up for somebody else.
I have no need for an iEDGE

Tell us if it's OK when you're done. I'm thinking about getting one, since they are so cheap now.

Every time I reboot it starts flashing even when I do not have the bupdate file
But build of this thing is so amazing

If you are using v3 of the bootstrap updater you need the rom 0583 - Shikakui Atama wo Maruku Suru DS Joushiki Nanmon no Shou, not Sudoku. You probably know this.
I had problems getting the update to work too. Once it has finished flashing , turn off ds, remove and format the sd card then put on the firmware. Its been a while since I did the update from v2 to v3 but perserverance paid off.

So unless I format and put the firmware on after the update, it will still show up as instuctions?

Ok after the update format the card and you just need to add the OS to the microSD with a file for all your roms.

You should use.
Bootstrap V3 as it works on all current versions of the DS
Also OS v2.1

Did u follow my video tut? It should help u

again, dont forget, a 1.4 iedge CANNOT be updated in a 1.4.1 dsi, u need a ds lite if u have a 1.4 iege, BUT if ur iedge is blank, u can run the update on a 1.4.1 dsi

Im on a Lite so i dont care what I update to, I just need it working

No im still having the same problem, the icon never changes from instructions and bupdate never deletes after the flashing causing it to re flash everytime

i believe you can use a supercard updater to update the card too, but dont hold me to that. Colud be a dodgy card. My iEdge doesnt seem to boot 1 out of ten times. Dont know what else to suggest, maybe try a different sd card.

Bupdate has to be deleted via a format

OK.

Once you have updated the bootstrap (after the red light on iedge has stopped flashing.)
Turn your ds/dsi off.

1.Take the microsd and format it (don't do quick format)
2.Put the lastest OS on 2.1 is newest also a folder with games.
3.Insert the cart to the ds turn it on and see if you have a correct logo.
