It makes the game look like a 2d top down shooter, :P probably because of the picture of the spaceship that you used. And the shadow kinda blends into the word shooter

Okay, so should I scrap the ship, or replace it with a more 3D-ish one? Do you want me to change the colors of the font?

It maybe easier to try to cut it out of one of the screenshots on the wiibrew page. The images folder contains backgrounds, the ship is a 3d wavefront obj file unless you have a 3d tool you wouldn't be able to open it.

That made it a lot easier. I downloaded a program to view the obj files and took a screenshot of the ship at an angle. Tell me what you think:

I don't mean to steal your job Joostin but I also made an icon from the screenshots:

EDIT: I ran out of bandwidth on my site >.> changed the image source.

You thieving SOB! I HATE YOU! Lol, j/k.

Different style than me, but a very nice icon. :D

@newo: I will take absolutely no offense if you choose to use wiisixtyfour's icon instead of mine. It's not like I called dibs on the Newo Shooter 2 icon, lol.

lol, no in fighting! i will use Joostin's first then wii64's but I still have started coding yet so there is a good about of time before it gets put to use :P. I am thinking of dropping the "2" since its really just one game that gets replaced each tame I change it, lol. Anyway Merry Christmas!

Lol, how often do you change the name? Here it is without the 2, although I think it looks rather empty:

I got a suggestion :) could you take the SNES & NES emulators and make a icon for the cover-mod versions? this way those who want to have both can distinguish between the two.

Thansk for this consideration. I was looking at the front page and I have the cover mods witht he original icons. LoL

These look fine :) but if MOD could fit someone on their it would make it super!! no seriously though these are fine but MOD would make it a little more distinguable :)

EDIT: I forgot to say thanks :)

Alright, sounds good.

Btw, I based my icons off of matriculated's style. Take a look at these: http://www.nubecoder.com/hbcicons/

Awesome! I did not even know about that page :) Might have to get a few from their and update mine own LoL
Yeah, he was a genius. He seems to have left the scene, so I figured I would pick up where he left off. I'm not as good as he was, but I've gotten A LOT better since I first started. In the beginning I had no idea how to add reflections or the shine on icons, lol.

Just a few days ago (when making the Hijill GUI icon) I found a way to prevent the shine from overlapping the feathered areas (notice that the pixels at the edges of fonts are semi-transparent), which was messing with the smooth appearance. It's been a flaw in my icons that has really bothered me in the past, and even though it takes longer to do this, I'm still glad I figured it out.
