I won the 2011 Lamont Summer Sizzler Rodeo & Fair Chili Cook Off! It was a lot of competition (40+ entries), but my Chili won by a large lead (My crockpot was empty before anyone else's was even half way through). I won a trophy, some personalized oven mits, a hat, a keychain, and a nice kitchen linen set. As well as my picture in all the local papers.

Not the most luxurious of prizes, but its a pretty good feeling to have knowing my food is that good.

What do you think?

Chili is incredible stuff. Glad to know yours turned out so well. Enjoy your prize, you've earned it for making such delightful food.

Chili is fantastic. I am incredibly curious about how yours tastes. :hungry:

Is a a sweeter chili? A spicier chili? Is it smooth or is it hearty and chunky?

*drools*

It is a hearty Chili with 3 meats (ground beef, hot Italian sausage, steak) and 3 different beans (Red kidney, white kidney and navy beans). As for spice it is just perfect. Not too spicy, but just enough to let you know its there.

Thats awesome! If the other food you make is as good, you should consider starting your own restaurant.

I would love too, but the place I live in does not have room for another restaurant (400 people and 5 restaurants). I am seriously considering the whole chef route as well (have been for years actually).

I have pictures of lots of other foods I have created.
