As ridiculous as the topic is, it's not one that's entirely nonsensical. There's been some interesting developments of emulators on hardware you wouldn't expect to be able to run them.

For example: Nintendo 64 emulation on PSP. By the time PSP was released in 2004, the N64 was already almost a decade old- and yet, this dinky little handheld can get close to fullspeed in certain games that even our favorite homebrew machines like the Wii can't touch. No, it's not to show how drastic the technology jump was between 1996 and 2004- rather, it demonstrates a key quality the PSP had that gives it an edge in N64 emulation specifically: the processor in the PSP is the same architecture as the N64's. The only thing holding it back, really, is the power of the PSP hardware itself (Which makes PSVita homebrew development so exciting!)

Of course, 3DS on a PS2 is still a pipedream- they are two VERY different architectures. However, you might be able to expect 3DS on smartphones or really anything based on ARM.

The ONLY reason PSP can emulate N64 despite it's weak specs (only 333MHz CPU that runs at 222MHz most of the time) is because they have a VERY similar CPU architecture so commands are MUCH easier to translate between the two. The N64 had a custom CPU with very unique architecture, that's why it's very much impossible to accurately emulate on other systems, and the PSP has almost the same one, so it only needs ~2 times as much processing power to emulate it, which is nothing compared to the ~8 times other systems need to even kinda emulate it with lots of bugs! PSP is THE best handheld to date, even better than the Switch, for that reason, it's CPU architecture is uniquely made to be as easy to translate code for as possible in order to make porting stuff and developing for it as simple as possible, that's why it can easily emulate pretty much every system from the beginning of gaming history up to N64 with some like PS1 even running natively on it!

PSVita on the other hand is NOT the same, even if people think it is, architecture got changed to a more generic type, which made it harder to develop for and was what began it's downfall. I do wish PSP would get a revision that isn't Vita honestly, same architecture as original but about 2GHz with ~512MBs of RAM would allow for some incredible things, especially considering that due to it's architecture, in the original you could cram a RIDICULOUS amount of image quality in a game despite the "low" specs with examples like Final Fantasy Type-0 looking even better than 99% PC games of the time even when recorded and played back on a larger screen!

I've owned both iPhone and Androids over the years. Both are just as good, other than Apples higher price. I'm currently on Android, Samsung S21 I think, and very happy with it.
