Is there an app that lets me do this via Wi-Fi? As long as it doesn't involve Port Forwarding, then it's all good.

Yes! Anything that goes via wifi would have to use port forwarding ;o Instead go to hkems.com and order their NDS Adaptor, you can pay with paypal, I just got it today and works perfect! Its not expensive either.
