It’s done by xdelta, but plz don’t skip yet.

Basically I installed a gba cia by converting to virtual console by myself, but now, I wanna apply a fan patch which is done to the gba rom, and then I’d go on to covert it to cia

But I’m afraid my save data of the original game won’t be recognised by the fan patch since the cia is obv already installed, and I’d have to restart the whole game with the patch

Do I switch the save data for the later downloaded cia of the game with the patch with the original game’s if there’s a way?

Thanks :D

1. backup your save with CheckPoint
2. Patch your game or whatever, and reinstall it
3. restore your save with Checkpoint

I am pretty sure this will work, if you don't feel certain just make a copy of your save to put on a computer just in case.

Checkpoint backs up and restores save data for custom gba VC injects too? I didn’t know that
