Hardware I think my ps3 is hot and the fan is loud help?

I’m running a fat with rebug 4.81 and my cpu ranges from 80-87 Celsius and my RSX is always around 60-61 Celsius. The fan is really annoying. Can I fix this somehow. I read somewhere about thermal paste?

You can open up then console and give the internals a clean with a tin of compressed air. Replacing the thermal paste with arctic silver 5 which seems pretty recommend will surely help as thermal paste dries out and hardens over time becoming less effective.

I would also suggest if using webman mod to adjust fan speed to try and stop the CPU reaching these temperatures.

Finally do this asap I would not play any intense games or even use it if possible as those temps are extremely high, until you sort this I left it to late and sadly got then ylod on my old phat RIP.
