I need help in windows xp

so i just setup a windows xp install on a hp laptop but then put the hdd back in the acer and i got a bsod but it flashed for a second then restarted but none of the options work and last time i put the hp hdd in and that worked so im just confused

HP LAPTOP: HP PAVILION ZE5600

ACER LAPTOP: ACER TRAVELMATE 2410

Given that both systems are completely different architecture it's no surprise that windows XP does not boot. It's most likely not nativity supported on the acer laptop given that it seems to be 64bit only with no 32bit instruction set. It might work if you install a 64bit xp but I wouldn't hold my breath due to being a different chipset. XP is not as forgiving as newer os's when moving the system hdd to a different machine.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to use Windows XP? Is it for retro PC gaming? I don't think it would be wise to browse the web on this ancient OS. If that's your goal, you'd be better served installing Linux.

Windows XP do not support hardware exchange, you need to install XP in the target hardware, you can only move the hard drive on exactly the same hardware

they are i thought they were both 32 bit because when i plugged the hp hdd into the acer that booted up fine

Last time I did something like that I ran sysprep /generalize if I remember correctly. Must have been a decade ago or more. Not present on XP by default but should be on installation CD.
Should make XP installation more hardware independent. Might fail if SATA drivers are missing (setting to IDE compatibility mode in BIOS might help).

In general installing Windows on the hardware it should run makes more sense.
XP won't work correctly (missing drivers) on newer hardware – or not work at all.

it cant boot from usb but i am using the hp laptop to reinstall windows xp and not from the hp recovery cd

it cant boot from usb plus the hp has 192 mb of ram an dthe acer has 2 gb of ram so i made a shortcut to the setup file with /nosyscheck at the end of the shortcut so i can install windows vista

Still might be similar. If it's not UEFI a bios hasn't changed too much. Boot options can be pretty standard. It seems this has been a function of the acer bios for quite some time. The option is disabled by default in the bios.
