Whine about piracy but it's Gamestop who is truly cashing in on used games without offering a penny to the original developers. Piracy isn't profiting unless you're cool and sell warez in the hood

Pretty much this here. While I love buying used games for low prices, it really does kill the industry more than piracy does.

Don't most bargain bins in stores contain used copies?
I've never actually paid much attention but when I think about it, i've never bought a "new" bargain bin game. It was always previously opened.

A few years back I paid dirt cheap for new copies of FFTA2 and FFIII in the bargain bin.

If you pirate a game from another region, it wont hurt the company, as companies have measures preventing games of other regions from being played. You are in sense, playing a game that was never sold where you are, which won't cost the company anything.

I am against piracy, but i fully support the piracy of region exclusive games that are exclusive to somewhere other than where you live.

If the retailers find that stock isn't selling well, they will purchase less from the distributor. It's not like they'll continue to purchase stock if they aren't selling it.
