A few weeks ago, I posted up a craigslist add saying I wanted to sell my used DSL + Cyclo + 8Gb card. I just wanted to see how much I could get for it if I ever wanted to sell it. So anyway, I put it up for 160 bucks and forgot about it. Today I get a random call from this guy asking if I was still selling it. Apparently he's interested in buying it! He said he was around the area and wanted to pick it up today, but coinsidentally, my mom went to my aunt's house and no one is home. I told him I'd rather have him come pick it up tomorrow, and he wasn't very happy about that, but he said he'll give me a call. So at this point I'm not 100% sure I'm gonna sell it, but there's a good chance. I really wasn't expecting to sell it, but if I do, I can buy a brand new DSi and pay like 10 bucks or so out of my own pocket. Sounds like a good deal to me. Only downside is that the DSi flashcart would take 2-3 weeks to arrive... but yeah, I'm pretty excited! I love my DSL, but the shoulder buttons barely work anymore, and the screens are pretty scratched up.

so you're selling a scratched ds lite with bad working shoulder buttons for almost the price of a new one?

Wow, I don't think ANYONE will buy it at that price after trying it out.

My custom repaid 1 with a broken mic sound, is starting to sound sellable ROFL.
It has no scratches and its about 3 years old lol.

I would say go the psp route instead of the DSi route.
just my opinion.

It's actually not that bad. The worst part is the shoulder buttons, which still work. but only when they want to. The shell itself is in pretty damn good condition since it's been covered throughout most of its life. The bottom screen has been protected most of the time, but still has some scratches. The top screen is fine. It also comes with a Cyclo and a 8Gb SDHC.

Plus, that guy is crazy, must not know what he's doing with technology 'cause that's ridiculous.
Heh, yeah, I asked for more than it would normally go for on purpose just to see if it would sell. I'm not sure what an adequate price would be... I suppose 75 for the DSL, 35 for the Cyclo, and 10 for the microSDHC? 120ish for everything? Well, I'm still not 100% sure he's gonna buy it, but it he does decide he wants it then I can't hesitate to sell it to him, seeing as I wouldn't get a better price anywhere else.

By the way, I'm thinking of getting either the Hori DSi Slime Case or the Chocobox DSi Case... which one should I go for? Opinions are appreciated.

If you want my opinion.....Slime, no doubt!
It's not too colorful, looks very attractive and "cutish" and overall...I really like it..Chochobox is simply too Yellow, and I can't see it fit to any color other then Black NDS.

That is crazy... I would never buy something like that...

and Cyclo, I thought it would went for $40, and MicroSD for $15. It is 8GB... You get a 4GB for $15 (CAD). So it would been boosted up to 130...

And for the case, Chocobox. Since it comes with a Stylus, and cleaning thingy. But you do realize it is for the DS Lite? And means no Camera Hole.? So if you still got a DSL, then get that one but the Slime one is for the DSi since it has a camera hole.

I actually heard blowing really really hard into your DS Lite shoulder buttons will fix it sometimes lol.
Can't say for sure though I still have a fat DS.

I've tried using compressed air to clean out the shoulder buttons, but it doesnt work. They still work whenever they want.

I didn't realize the Chocobox was DS Lite only, thanks for letting me know. I guess that narrows it down to the Slime case, since I dont think the Kingdom Hearts case would go very good with a black DSi...

Blowing into a fat DS shoulder buttons also make them work. But my shoulder buttons on my DS lite are so bad that you have to blow the R button for about 5min to get it to work for 30sec.

You will need to get a new DSi compatible flashcard. There isn't that good of a selection of DSi cases yet so wait a few months before getting one when there's a better selection.

I think the Acekard 2i looks really good, so I'll probably get one of those.

Just make sure it doesn't get stolen like mine... the DSi is still new enough that some people might decide to slip their hands into wherever your DSi may be and snatch it up.
