His name is Amaniel des Lions D'amour.
A purebreed Briard. He was born in december and im picking him up on the 14th/15th.
close to 2000 bucks, but hes a purebreed Briard.
like i had when i was a kid.
look at his eyes. like a little teddy-bear. i love him so much!
theyre fiercely loyal and fierce protectors. hard to train, very smart!
ive never had my own puppy before. I reserved him today <3

OMG puppyyyyy

Briards are soooo cute. Big floofs. Hope you have enough combs.
And everything you say about them explains why every Briard owner I've met says "it's a mixed breed, no others like him, you can't get one, don't look for them" when asked what breed it is :ha:

yeah.... the final price was actually 2500€ sooo.... yeah.
theyre not cheap.
Theyre great dogs tho. Absolutely unique creatures and ive never had one as a baby.

Congrats on the dog!
I am personally not in favour of buying cats and dongs in general personally, not when there are so many puppies and kittens up for adoption, but that's just my opinion.
ive adopted three during my lifetime. my last one, a street dog from hungary, you dont even wanna know what they did to him.
he was in very poor physical shape and worse mental shape.
I got him aged 2, he died aged 15 from a slow degenerative neurological disease and i had to decide wether to keep him alive or put him down. 13 years with a dog who randomly got agressive from loud noises, who disliked ANYBODY with dark skin, who would bite around himself nonstop in bus or tram, who couldnt visit a normal Vet, so i had to pay for home-visits everytime, tranquilizer everytime.
Never gave up on him, never stopped loving him, no matter how many times he bit right into my calf or even my ass.

His name was Jerry. He was a Dogo Argentino mix-breed. I got him from some animal welfare type hippy people, who buy up street dogs in hungary then pressure german people into taking them in byy saying "or they will have to be put down", basically.

... so i did. Dogo Argentino are fighting dogs, theyre not even LEGAL here. I found out what breed he really was when i took him to my vet after he arrived in my home in germany declared as "mix breed", told her his story, she told me dogo argentino arent allowed, she entered "German shepherd mix breed" because i had no option to give him back without them putting him down.

i paid my dues tenfold. i earned this puppy.

A mentally damaged Dogo Argentino is NOT a fun dog to own.

I'm not judging. I just personally can not justify, myself, buying a dog or cat.
All of my cats and dogs were either strays or were about to be abandoned and my family took them in (5 dogs, and roughly 10 cats), most of them died naturally, some had had to be put down due to sickness, but on average most dogs died at 15/16 and cats at 18 (only have a cat now, aged 14 this year). When Rocky passes away I'll probably get a couple of kittens and a dog at the same time, all the other cats and dogs passed away since they were much older than Rocky and he became too spoiled.

i did my part. i have no regrets.

I wish I could have a forever puppy that never ages. Maybe one day we'll make a robot version that thinks and feels like a real puppy. Like Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

Huh I guess you're right, they kind of are forever puppies already. Maybe I should buy a pug.
you gotta be careful there.
friend of mine loves pugs, he says a lot of breeders just go for looks and breed the snouts/noses far too short.
they cant breathe right if their snouts arent long enough.
get sick, too.

long snout pugs = good
short snout pugs = sad

he told me that like twenty years ago and i still remember!
