Yes, a spaghetti stick and hot glue, this is an unprofessional, homemade, dirty way to solve it, but it worked

I needed something to hold the hinge connector until the hot glue dried, and so I found this stick somewhere in the kitchen

Moral of the story: Don't underestimate spaghetti sticks
